Galesburg, IL – A national organization has recognized the Prairie Fire men's soccer team for an off-the-field achievement.

The National Soccer Coaches Association (NSCAA) of America on November 21 released its 2012-13 College Team Academic Award Winners.

College teams that post a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale are eligible for the award.  The Knox men's squad received the honor by achieving a 3.18 GPA.

Knox was one of four men's soccer teams from the Midwest Conference and 269 from across all NCAA divisions to earn the award.
