GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire defeated Iowa Wesleyan 10-4 on Tuesday afternoon.

Knox (5-19) fell behind 4-0 early in the game, but a three-run home-run in the fourth inning by
Matt Mueller (Silex, MO, Silex) started a 10-run rally by the Prairie Fire.
Billy Ballantine (Anchorage, AK, Tempe) tied the game when he plated
Andrew Recker (Huntingburg, IN, Southridge) with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning.
Ryan Weitendorf (New Lenox, IL, Lincoln-Way East) drove in the go-ahead run with a groundout in the sixth inning. Knox extended the lead when Brandon Crose walked with the bases loaded. The Prairie Fire then plated a pair in both the seventh and eighth innings to cruise to victory.

Ken Bartelt (Buffalo Grove, IL, Buffalo Grove) earned the victory on the mound allowing no runs in an inning of work.
Auggie Ward (Freeburg, IL, Gibault) earned the three-inning save, allowing only two hits and no runs.

Drake Sykes (Galesburg, IL, Galesburg) led the Prairie Fire offense with three hits in four at bats and four runs scored.
Brandon Crose (Princeville, IL, Princeville) put together a 3-for-3 performance with a run scored and an RBI.
Alex Bell (Elgin, IL, Burlington Central) went 3-for-5 on the day with an RBI and a run scored. Mueller led Knox with three RBI while
Tristyn Ruiz (Waukegan, IL, Waukegan), Weitendorf, and Ballantine each added an RBI.
