Harlan Knosher, a member of the Knox College Faculty since 1960, is Professor of Physical Education and Director of Athletics. He has served as head coach in basketball and baseball, as well as assistant coach in football. He remains head coach of Knox’s golf team, which has won more conference championships than any other college golf team in the Midwest Athletic Conference. IN 1985, Knosher was named chairman of the Men’s Basketball Committee for Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, which oversees basketball activity for all NCAA Division III schools in the United States. He also has served on the NCAA national committee and as chairman of the NCAA Midwest Region advisory committee on Division III basketball. His book, Basic Basketball Strategy, was published by Double day in 1972.
