Jodi Marver was a four-year letter winner for the women’s basketball team and put her stamp on the Knox record books while helping to change the trajectory of the women’s basketball program. Marver’s senior year was the most successful women’s basketball team in over a decade and began a run of eight consecutive years with double-digit victories that is still active.

Marver scored 1,267 points over her career, the second highest mark in school history at the time of her graduation. She is now third in points all-time. She is the career leader at Knox with 473 made free throws and also set the single-season mark with 153 during her senior season. The 2014-15 women’s basketball team led the nation with 18.5 steals per game.

“Jodi was a great player and great teammate,” said former head women’s basketball coach Emily Cline. “Her work ethic was second to none. She was always in the gym getting up shots and working on her game. Her ability to finish at the rim was elite and she could score in bunches. It is not an accident that Jodi is being inducted into the Knox Hall of Fame. She is very deserving of it and I am very proud of Jodi and very happy for her.”

After graduating in 2015, Marver spent three years as an assistant girl's basketball coach at Niles North and has also coached in the Maccabi Junior Olympics, a week-long gold medal championship in Orange County California. She is now the head girls basketball coach at Willows Academy in Des Plaines, Illinois. The team won a Regional Championship in 2023 with a school record 28 wins and Marver was named an Illinois Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) Coach of the Year.
