Knox College Prairie Fire

Sophomore Madeline Bruce won three individual events and was part of the Knox women’s 200 freestyle relay team that finished first at a four-team meet hosted by Illinois College on Saturday, November 8.

Bruce was tabbed as the Midwest Conference Women’s Swimming Performer of the Week on Tuesday.  She finished first in the 200 backstroke, 200 butterfly, and the 400 IM at Illinois College.  “What was really impressive was that five minutes after her 400 IM she anchored the 4x50 free relay – splitting a 25.15 and coming from behind to touch out IC by .02,” said Knox head coach Jonathan Powers.

Knox went 2-1 in the meet with wins over IC (115-108) and Principia College (119-83) while Millikin University edged the Prairie Fire (112-104).
