Knox College Prairie Fire

First-year Rebecca Katz ran the fastest 6K time in school history at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on November 18. 

Katz led Knox at the regional with her time of 23:57, topping the previous 6K record of 24:05 set by junior teammate Elizabeth Reyes at the 2012 Midwest Conference championships.  Katz and Reyes were the top two finishers for the Prairie Fire at this year’s regional.

Katz owns two other Knox women’s cross country all-time top 25 performances in the 6K.  Her time of 24:27 at Lawrence University ranks seventh and the 25:06 she ran at the Bradley Pink Classic is 20th.
