Senior Jodi Marver has been a force for the Prairie Fire, who have won three straight games, including two last week.
Marver scored 18 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out six assists as Knox snapped a 25-game slide against Monmouth College with a 111-90 victory at home on January 27. She followed with a team-high 20 points in a 94-80 win at Lawrence University to sweep the season series against the Vikings on January 31.
Marver made Monmouth and Lawrence pay for sending her to the free throw line on a regular basis. She hit 14 foul shots in both contests, which ranks second all-time at Knox for made free throws in a game. Marver has canned 14 free throws in a game four times this season.
The second all-time leading scorer in Knox women's basketball history with 1174 career points, Marver averaged 19 points and five rebounds last week as the Prairie Fire's winning streak reached three in a row for the first time since the 2001-02 season.
