Senior Walter Palmer racked up a 6-0 record in the first three Midwest Conference matches of the season against Ripon College, St. Norbert College, and Lawrence University on Saturday and Sunday in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

He was a key contributor as Knox handled Ripon 8-1 to begin the conference portion of its schedule.  Already a two-time winner of the weekly MWC honor this season, Palmer earns his first Prairie Fire Performer of the Week award in 2015.  He previously won it nearly a year ago on April 9, 2014 after sweeping his two singles and doubles contests against St. Norbert and Lake Forest College four days earlier.

Palmer prevailed at #1 singles against Ripon (2-6, 6-3, 11-9) and St. Norbert (6-2, 6-4) on Saturday, followed by a three-set triumph against Lawrence (4-6, 6-3, 6-4) on Sunday.  He teamed up with senior Karl Ruzgas to take three consecutive #1 doubles matches, beating Ripon (8-2), St. Norbert (9-8), and Lawrence (8-1).  They combined for a remarkable 12 wins without a loss on the two-day trip.
