McCaffrey had four hits twice, and recorded four multi-hit games to contribute to three wins by the Prairie Fire last week.
The shortstop got off to a hot start with four hits, two RBI, three runs scored, and a stolen base in the first game of a doubleheader sweep at Beloit on Monday, March 30. He went 7-for-10 at the plate in the two wins against the Bucs with three doubles, four RBI, and five runs scored. McCaffrey followed with a 4-for-4 performance that included a home run, three RBI, and three runs scored in an 8-5 Midwest Conference South victory against Cornell at Blodgett Field on Saturday, April 2.
McCaffrey hit .542 (13-for-24) for the week with five doubles, one home run, and 12 RBI, and nine runs scored. He also handled all 29 chances on defense without a miscue.
