Sykes capped off a dominant offensive week by setting a new Knox baseball record for hits in a season during a doubleheader on May 2 at Lawrence.

Sykes was 6-for-9 at the plate with three home runs, five RBI, and five runs scored in the twinbill against the Vikings.  Sykes boosted his season hit total to 58 and broke the previous record of 57 hits by former Prairie Fire slugger Caleb Weaver in 2013.

Sykes hit .500 (10-for-20) for the week with three home runs, 10 RBI, and six runs scored.
