Knox College Prairie Fire

The first-year swimmer had an impressive day on January 28 during a triangular meet at Illinois College, winning two individual events and swimming on two winning relay teams. 

Knox defeated IC 85-35 and Eureka College 99-12.  For her role in the victories, Lodge-Rigal was named the latest recipient of the Prairie Fire Performer of the Week Award.

Her individual event wins were in the 200 freestyle and the 1650 freestyle.  Lodge-Rigal’s time in the 1650 was more than 40 seconds faster than her previous best and ranks as the seventh fastest time in the Midwest Conference in the event.

Lodge-Rigal swam a leg on both of the Prairie Fire’s first-place relay teams as well.  She helped Knox win the 200 freestyle and the 200 medley relays.

Next up for the Prairie Fire is the final meet of the regular season, a dual on Febuary 4 at Beloit College.
