Knox College Prairie Fire

Chenoweth placed sixth in the shot put and was successful in a new field event for him at the Ashford University Spring Classic on April 6 in Clinton, Iowa. 

His shot put heave landed 43’ 10.5” away, the fifth longest in the Midwest Conference this season.  Besides his effort in the shot, Chenoweth – for the first time in college competition – threw the discus.  The result was a distance of 130’ 7” that ranks third in the conference to date.

Chenoweth’s efforts earned him the Prairie Fire Performer of the Week award.  He also was the recipient of the honor in late February after winning a medal for his second place finish in the shot put at the 2012 Midwest Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships.
