Junior Sean Choate (Chicago, IL) is the latest recipient of the Prairie Fire Performer of the Week Award for running the second fastest time to date in the Midwest Conference. He led his team on September 16 at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships at Illinois State University, finishing the 8K race in a career-best time of 26:48. This time earned him the #12 spot (up from #21 last season) on the Knox College Men's Cross Country All-Time Top 25 Individuals by Time list. 

This is the second award that Choate has won for his efforts at Illinois State University. He was also named the Midwest Conference Cross Country Male Performer of the Week.
