Knox College Prairie Fire

Espitia (ess-PEE-thee-uh), a junior from Whittier, California, was part of the Prairie Fire defensive effort that held visiting Eureka to six points and 226 total yards in the Lincoln Bowl this past Saturday as Knox earned a 7-6 victory in its season opener. The linebacker recorded four tackles, but it was his interception in Prairie Fire territory with under two minutes to play that sealed the first Knox victory in the series since 2017 and brought the Lincoln Trophy back to Galesburg.
