A junior from LaGrange Park, Illinois, Newman led Knox to victory over the weekend at the Fighting Scot Invitational for a fifth straight year, carding a 74-68—142 (E) to finish third in the individual standings. His 3-under 68 on Sunday was a personal best and the lowest score by a Prairie Fire golfer in three years. The product of Lyons Township High School sank 11 birdies over his 36 holes.
