Knox College Prairie Fire

A first-year player, Darby Wallig was terrific in goal last Tuesday against Midwest Conference rival Illinois College, which entered the game with a record of 8-2-2 on the season. The native of Wendell, North Carolina, faced eight shots from the Lady Blues and saved each one, recording her first career shutout to earn the MWC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. This fall, Wallig has an .837 save percentage and a 2.26 goals against average. Those numbers are even better against the Midwest Conference with an .846 save percentage and 1.33 GAA.
