Knox College Prairie Fire

Nidez Acuña, hailing from Tucson, Arizona, enjoyed a terrific collegiate debut by leading the Prairie Fire to a 64-53 victory at Loras College on Friday. She connected on 7-of-11 field goals for 21 points while hauling in a dozen rebounds and dishing out four assists, each figure leading the team. The next afternoon, Nidez Acuña recorded another double-double, leading the team in points (18) and rebounds (11) once again while also blocking two shots in a tough loss to Coe College. Over the two games, she hit 61.9 percent of her field goals (13-of-21) and 68.4 percent of her free throws (13-of-19) while averaging 19.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
