Knox College Prairie Fire

A 6-6 wing from Mansfield, Texas, Daunte Smith has been lights out shooting the ball of late, particularly in the two contests in the past week. The product of RWG Stem Academy hit every shot he took except one, going 10-of-11 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the perimeter as he averaged 13.5 points against Illinois College and Beloit College. In a loss to the Blue Boys, he drained 5-of-6 field goals and 4-of-5 from distance in posting a season-high 14 points, his first career game in double figures. Four days later, he helped the Prairie Fire secure their first conference win by knocking down all five of his shots, three of which were 3-pointers and the other two had a toe on the line as he produced 13 points in the 66-59 victory at Beloit. For the season, Smith has drilled 13-of-27 (.481) from beyond the arc and 23-of-45 (.511) overall.
