Knox College Prairie Fire

A second baseman from Santa Paula, California, Haylee Carpenter hit .400 (6-for-15) in five games for Knox last week, including a 3-for-4 performance with three runs scored in the Midwest Conference opener for the team against Ripon. She also walked twice, stole a pair of bases and drove in a run on a clutch, two-out single against Lawrence. For the season, Carpenter leads the team in batting (.293), hits and total bases.
