Thomas Wilmot, an outfielder from Suwanee, Georgia, caught fire at the plate at Lawrence over the weekend, going 5-for-9 with a double and the first two home runs of his career while scoring two runs and driving in four. It was his three-run blast that made the different in the 8-6 victory in the opening game against the Vikings as he reached base four times with two walks and a hit by pitch as well. In the doubleheader on Saturday, he had two hits in each game with his two-bagger in the first contest and a solo blast to deep center field in the finale. Wilmot entered the series hitting .250 and he ended it at .292.
