Knox College Prairie Fire

A native of Mascoutah, Illinois, Lance Miller reached the podium in two events at the outdoor championships, placing second in the 5000 meters and third in the 1500 meters. His time of 14:46.43 in the 5000 was less than a quarter second off his school-record time, and he finished a mere 1.19 seconds behind the winner of the 1500 with his time of 3:56.42, a season-best. In addition, Miller received the Elite 20 Award for being the male athlete with the highest GPA competing at the championships. This is his fifth time being honored with the award this year and sixth of his Knox career.
