A linebacker from Sarasota, Floria, Chase Caldwell was the linchpin of a stout defensive performance at Beloit that carried Knox to a 16-14 victory over the Buccaneers. He recorded a team-high nine tackles, two going for a loss, including a huge sack in the fourth quarter that jarred the ball loose and into the hands of a teammate, preserving that two-point lead with 4:35 left in the game. Two of his other tackles stonewalled a ball carrier at the line of scrimmage, and he also had another that stopped Beloit a yard shy of the first-down marker, forcing a punt.
