Natalia Nuño, a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, could not have picked a better time to score her first goal of the season in a road match at Cornell College on Tuesday, Oct. 28. Her tally in the 84th minute snapped the scoreless duel and lifted the Prairie Fire to a 1-0 victory, snapping a 27-game winless streak against Midwest Conference opponents. Four days later, Nuño provided the lone shot on frame by a Knox player against Grinnell in the season finale, a match that was also scoreless at the half before the Pioneers left town with a victory.
