Eisha used her arm and her bat in a doubleheader sweep of Illinois College on March 30 at the Knox Softball Field.

Knox won the first game 14-9 in 9 innings and defeated the Lady Blues 7-3 in the twinbill finale.  The sweep was the first for Knox against IC in softball since April of 2002.  Eisha batted over .500 and closed out both games in the circle for the Prairie Fire.

An infielder and pitcher for Knox, Eisha was 3-for-5 at the plate with two doubles, a walk, an RBI, and one run scored in the first game against Illinois College.  She also pitched five innings of relief to earn her first win of the season.

Eisha was instrumental to the Prairie Fire’s game two victory as well with a 2-for-4 performance at the dish that included a double, an RBI, and a run.  She returned to the circle to fire three shutout innings of relief, allowing just two hits and striking out two, to preserve the win for junior starting pitcher Anna Lemen (Cincinnati, OH, Cincinnati Country Day).

Eisha was a combined 5-for-9 with three doubles, two runs batted in, and a pair of runs against IC pitching.  She raised her batting average to a team-high .425, which ranks #11 in the Midwest Conference, and lowered her earned run average by more than one-half of a run.

Offensively, Eisha is also tied for sixth in the conference with 17 hits, tied for third with six doubles, and tied for ninth with 23 total bases.  She leads the Prairie Fire in all of those categories as well as RBIs (9), on base percentage (.452), and slugging percentage (.575).

Pitching for Knox, Eisha is tops on the team and tied for fourth in the MWC with nine appearances.  She’s tossed three complete games and 39 total innings -- the latter the fifth-most in the conference, and leads the Prairie Fire staff with 18 strikeouts.  In addition, Eisha has finished five games in the circle to lead the Midwest Conference.

Knox (3-9, 2-0 MWC South) looks to add to a three-game winning streak with a Midwest Conference South Division doubleheader at Monmouth College on April 5.  The First game against the Fighting Scots (7-6, 0-0 MWC South) is at 3:00 p.m.
