Knox College Prairie Fire

Petersen scored four goals and had two assists to help lead to a 10-0 win over Robert Morris University on September 1 at Jorge Prats Field.  She was named the Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week in women's soccer on September 3.

Petersen can add another award to her collection.  She's also been selected as the Prairie Fire Performer of the Week for her outstanding play against the Eagles.

Petersen and teammate, sophomore forward Madison Dana (Lafayette, CO, New Vista), combined for eight goals and 18 points in the first match of the season.  It's the first time two women's soccer players at Knox have scored four goals each in the same match.

Petersen was just one goal shy of tying the school record of five held by Lloy Brodnicki.  Brodnicki scored five goals in an 11-2 win against Illinois College on October 20, 1993.  The 11 goals by Knox in that match against IC is also a school record.

The Prairie Fire's 10 goals in the win over RMU are the most since a nine goal outburst during the 2004 season.
