Knox College Prairie Fire

Knox defeated Cornell 4-0 on September 28 at Jorge Prats Field and Harned, a sophomore forward, scored two goals that were instrumental in the Midwest Conference win.

Harned's first goal turned out to be the game-winner, giving the Prairie Fire the lead 22:37 into the match. Harned scored again in the 23rd minute, his seventh of the season and 19th of his career, to put the Prairie Fire up 2-0.

Harned helped the Prairie Fire secure a school record 10th straight win while the defense and goalie Sean Dockrell (Dublin, Ireland, San Bernadino CC) posted the eighth shutout of the season, also a new school record. The victory helped the team reach the 10-win mark for the first time in 25 years as well.

Harned is ranked #3 in NCAA Division III in both total assists (11) and assists per game (1.0).  Senior teammate Maxwell Gatyas (Plymouth, WI, Plymouth Comprehensive) is the national leader in assists (12) and assists per game (1.20).  Harned is also ranked #10 in the country in total points (25).
