Lau played a significant role in helping the Prairie Fire defeat Grinnell College in a Midwest Conference match at Jorge Prats Field on October 5.
Lau gave Knox a 1-0 lead over the Pioneers with a goal 15:41 into the match, and he was a major factor on offense for Knox by helping to keep pressure on Grinnell.
Lau helped his team rack up a 23-9 advantage in total shots, including a 15-6 edge in shots on goal in the
2-1 OT victory against the Pioneers.
Lau's goal that put Knox on the board was his fourth of the season. He finished the match with three total shots, all on goal, and his ability to dribble and move the ball around to other Prairie Fire scorers had Grinnell on the defensive for much of the contest.
In addition, the win by Knox was the first against Grinnell in men's soccer since the 2005 season and marked the 11th straight victory by the Prairie Fire, which set school records for consecutive wins and total wins in a season.
