Knox College Prairie Fire

Box is the latest recipient of the Prairie Fire Performer of the Week Award.  He placed 7th overall in the men's 8K race at the 2011 Midwest Cross Country Championships, hosted October 29 by Ripon College. 

Box's time of 25:45 was a career-best and ranks #2 on the Knox men's cross country Top 25 Best Performances list.  He missed the school record, set by Paul Grinis at Washington University in 2000, by 17 seconds.

Box and sophomore Gabe Moreno, who placed 12th overall with his time of 26:09 (tied for the 10th best performance of all-time and seventh on the Top 25 Individuals by Time list), received All-Midwest Conference recognition for their performances.

Box helped the Prairie Fire finish fifth in the team standings, the program's highest placement at the conference championships since the 2003 season.
