Knox College Prairie Fire

Jones, who helped lead Knox to its first win of the season, a 101-91 triumph over Principia College in the Bill Merris Tournament on November 16 at Illinois College, is off to a blazing start to the season.

Jones scored 20 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor and made 8-of-10 free throw attempts.  He also grabbed seven rebounds, dished out four assists, and had two steals against the Panthers.

Jones is averaging team-highs of 17.5 points and 5 rebounds for the Prairie Fire (1-1).  In addition, he's connected on 13-of-16 shots (81.3 percent) and is 9-of-11 (81.8 percent) from the foul line through the first two games.

A four-year starter who led Knox in rebounding and minutes played last season, Jones was named – along with junior teammate Mitch Murphy (Bushnell, IL, Bushnell-Prairie City) – to the Bill Merris All-Tournament Team.
