Knox College Prairie Fire

The junior guard helped lead Knox to a 91-89 victory over Grinnell College on February 5 and a 98-93 triumph against Lake Forest College three days later.

Marver came up big down the stretch in both wins.  She hit two free throws with six seconds remaining for the deciding points against the Pioneers while knocking down 5-of-6 foul shots in the final 71 seconds against the Foresters.

The Prairie Fire swept the season series against Grinnell for the first time since the 2001-02 campaign and snapped a five-game slide against Lake Forest.

Marver scored 19 points and was 11-of-12 from the free throw line against Grinnell, and then poured in a team-high 23 points while making 14-of-17 from the stripe against Lake Forest.

Marver leads Knox in scoring with an average of 15.4 points per game, which ranks sixth in the Midwest Conference.  She entered the week as the second leading scorer in the MWC against league opponents with an average of 17.2 points.
