Weitendorf is off to a hot start and helped the Prairie Fire win four games over spring break in Fort Myers, Florida.
The first-year infielder had three hits, including a run-scoring double and an RBI single, in a 13-12 victory over Plattsburgh State in Knox's last game in Florida on March 23.ย He batted .348 with eight hits, three of them doubles, five RBI, six runs scored, and three walks on the trip.
Weitendorf has at least one hit in six of the nine games he's appeared in so far this season.ย He's also driven in a run in five games and struck out only once in 23 at-bats in Florida.
