Palmer won all four of the matches he played against St. Norbert College and Lake Forest College on April 5. He is the latest recipient of the Prairie Fire Performer of the Week award one day after the Midwest Conference named him its men's tennis performer of the week.

Palmer and junior Karl Ruzgas (Downers Grove, IL, Downers Grove North) teamed up to defeat the #1 doubles team from St. Norbert, Travis Buechel and Nate Gosz, 8-4. Palmer followed with an impressive 6-0, 6-2 victory in #1 singles against Buechel.

Palmer and Ruzgas picked up their second win of the day, 8-4, over the #1 doubles team from Lake Forest – Ellis Lora-Arceo and John Snider. A co-captain for the Prairie Fire, Palmer swept the day with a hard-fought 5-7, 6-4, 10-4 decision against Lora Arceo.

Palmer's eight wins playing #1 singles ranks third in the Midwest Conference while he and Ruzgas have posted 10 victories in the #1 doubles slot, the second-most in the league.
