Knox College Prairie Fire

Cooley helped lead the Prairie Fire to a fourth place finish out of eight teams November 12 at the Monmouth Invitational.  She won two events and placed second in another while also earning points as part of a relay team. 

Cooley placed first in both the 100 yard breaststroke (1:11.55) and the 400 yard IM (4:59.06).  Her second place finish was in the 200 yard breaststroke, which was won by Lake Forest College All-American Becky Shaak.  She also swam in the Prairie Fire’s third place 400 medley relay team, which earned Knox 12 points in the event.

In addition, Cooley won twice on November 5 in the team’s season-opening victory at home against Eureka College.  She placed first in the 200 yard IM and the 100 yard breaststroke and helped the 200 yard medley relay team to a first place finish in the meet.
