Jere placed in two events for Knox at the 2014 Midwest Conference Championships on May 9 and 10 at Grinnell College's Les Duke Track, setting new all-time top 10 marks in both the 1500 meters and the 800 meters.

Jere ran a personal-best time of 4:06.06 in the 1500 to finish sixth overall.  His performance ranks as the seventh-fastest in school history and is fifth on the all-time individual list for the event.

Jere followed with a sensational effort in the 800, placing fourth in 1:56.79.  He beat his previous fastest time by nearly three seconds and moved up to second on both the all-time performance and individual lists.  

Jere also owns the eighth-fastest 800 meter time of 1:59.58, which he ran at the University of Dubuque Good Friday Open on April 18.

Going into the MWC championships, Jere ranked 13th in the 800 meters and 14th in the 1500 meters.  He shot all the way up to fifth in the 800 and seventh in the 1500.
