CHICAGO, Illinois – The Prairie Fire's bid to start the season with two straight wins hit a snag at the University of Chicago on Tuesday.

Knox and Chicago were tied 2-2 when the Maroons scored four consecutive goals between the 56th and 85th minutes to claim the non-conference victory.

The hosts took a 1-0 lead at the 35:58 mark and maintained the slim advantage at the intermission.

The Prairie Fire tied the contest 1-1 on a goal by junior Nathaniel Logie (Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, Queens Royal College), assisted by junior Abdulsalam Oganla (Lagos, Nigeria, The International Academy), 11 seconds into the second stanza.

The Maroons (3-0) reclaimed the lead, 2-1, on a goal from the left side at 46:12.

Knox (1-1) answered a little over one minute later (47:17) and forced the second tie of the afternoon, 2-2, when first-year Henry Horwitz (Singapore, Singapore, Singapore American School) scored from about six yards out on an assist from sophomore Terence Lau (Shanghai, China, Shanghai American School).

Chicago grabbed the lead for good at 3-2 on the first of four unanswered goals 56:21 into the match.

The Maroons outshot Knox 19-9 overall, including an 8-4 edge in shots on goal.

The Prairie Fire travel to Northfield, Minnesota to play St. Olaf College in the ACM Tournament on Friday, September 5 at 4:00 p.m.  The Oles (1-0) are coming off of a 14-win season a year ago, including a 7-2-1 mark in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC).

Knox will also meet Coe College in the tournament on Sunday, September 7 at 11:30 a.m.
