GALESBURG, Illinois—Knox College invites members of the Knox and Galesburg communities to cheer on the men's and women's basketball teams and to welcome a new era of Prairie Fire athletics on Saturday, February 6. Knox will face Lake Forest College at home and will reveal a new logo for Prairie Fire athletics. Free t-shirts will be given to the first 400 game attendees, and foam flame hats will be handed out to Prairie Fire fans. Contests, food, and other festivities will take place during both the men's and women's games.
 
"With the largest recruitment class in recent history, two record-setting soccer teams, new-found success in women's basketball, improvement to our facilities, and 130 academic all-conference awards, the Prairie Fire athletics program is entering a new era," said Chad Eisele, director of athletics. "We're excited to reveal a new logo for our athletics program that reflects the commitment and strength of our coaches and athletes and the pride we all feel for Knox College."

Tip-off for the men's game will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, in Memorial Gymnasium on the Knox campus in Galesburg. Admission to the men's and women's basketball games is free.
