BLOOMINGTON, Illinois—The Prairie Fire gave up four runs apiece in the sixth and seventh innings to fall to Illinois Wesleyan 11-6.

Knox (4-11) held a 4-3 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth inning before the Titans took the lead. The Prairie Fire battled back in the top of the seventh to trail 7-6, but four more unanswered runs were too much to overcome.

Alex Bell (Elgin, IL, Burlington Central) led the offense with a 3-for-4, four RBI performance. Tristyn Ruiz (Waukegan, IL, Waukegan) added two hits in four at bats and two runs scored. Matt McCaffrey (Wilmette, IL, New Trier) drove in the other two runs.

Knox will travel to Grinnell on April 16 to open up Midwest Conference play.
