GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire dropped at Midwest Conference doubleheader to Cornell on Friday afternoon.

Knox (5-21, 0-10 MWC) pitched the ball well, but could not get much going on offense.

Alec Jordan allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits while striking out a career high 13 batters in game one. He also moved into first all-time at Knox in career strikeouts with 137.

Dalton James led the Prairie Fire offense with three hits in eight at bats and a run scored. Matt McCaffrey went 2-for-7 on the day with a run scored. Alex Bell and Ryan Weitendorf each had an RBI for Knox.

The Prairie Fire will travel to Cornell on Sunday looking to even up the season series.
