The Prairie Fire softball team dropped doubleheaders with Carroll and Ripon over the weekend to conclude their season.
Knox (1-33, 1-17 MWC) fell 9-1 and 8-0 to the Pioneers on Saturday. The Prairie Fire led the Red Hawks 4-1 and 5-3 in game one but gave up three runs in the bottom of the seventh to fall 6-5. In game two against Ripon the Prairie Fire gave up five runs in the first inning to eventually fall 9-1.
Emily Stevenson (Tinley Park, IL, Andrew) led the Prairie Fire offense over the weekend with five hits in nine at bats with two RBI and two runs scored.
Kristen Koviekis (Tinley Park, IL, Lincoln-Way North) added a 3-for-11 performance with two runs scored.
Kaly Davidson (Needham, MA, Needham) also went 3-for-11 with a run scored.
