RIPON, Wisconsin - The Prairie Fire softball team dropped a pair of conference games to Ripon on Saturday.

Knox (1-13, 0-6 MWC) took a 3-0 lead in the second inning of game one, but the Redhawks scored five runs in the final three innings for the 5-4 victory. The Prairie Fire held a 2-1 lead in the third inning of the second game, but Ripon rallied for seven runs in the fourth inning en route to a commanding 11-3 win.

Katy Coseglia (Willowbrook, IL, Hinsdale Central) had a huge day at the plate for Knox tallying four hits in five at bats. She scored a team-high three runs.
Kristen Koviekis (Tinley Park, IL, Lincoln-Way North) and
Emily Stevenson (Tinley Park, IL, Andrew) each added two hits as well. Koviekis added two RBI on the day. Coseglia, Stevenson, and Koviekis each clubbed a double in the twinbill.

The Prairie Fire return to action on April 9 at St. Norbert as they continue their road trip.
