DE PERE, Wisconsin—The Prairie Fire men's soccer team defeated No. 10 St. Norbert 2-1 to advance to their first ever NCAA Regional next weekend.

Knox (16-4-1) wins the Midwest Conference Tournament after making their sixth straight appearance in the tournament. The Prairie Fire got on the board early when Nick Janulis headed in a pass from Owen Keleher in the sixth minute. James Barrington added to the Knox lead with another header, this time off of a corner from Pedro Moura. The Prairie Fire took a 2-0 lead into halftime, but Green Knights cut into the lead with a score in the 58th minute. St. Norbert threatened in the 86th minute, but Knox held on for the victory.

"This is an amazing group of guys, they finished their chances early and grinded," said head coach Brian O'Connor. "St. Norbert is one of the best teams in the country and to get a win there is a testament to our senior leaders. I'm so happy for them. This team is special and are relishing the opportunity to show why in the NCAA Tourney."
