Men's Tennis Drops a Pair at Home

GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches to tough opponents on Saturday.

Knox fell to Illinois Wesleyan 0-9 in the morning match and then 1-8 in the afternoon match against Greenville.

Jared Schwarz put up a great fight in his #3 singles match against the Titans but was edged 4-6, 4-6 in the end. He teamed up with Ajay Gustafson at #1 doubles to fall 3-8.

Gustafson and Schwarz rebounded in their doubles match against the Panthers to post an 8-6 victory. Gustafson also played a close match at #1 singles before retiring.

Misha Broyles won his first match of the season by winning an exhibition against Illinois Wesleyan 8-3.

Knox travels to Iowa on March 2 and 3 to face off against the University of Dubuque and Buena Vista University.
