ROCHESTER, Minnesota—The Prairie Fire softball team dropped a pair of game in the second day of the ACM Dome Tournament in Minnesota.

Knox scored two runs in the bottom of the first inning against Wisconsin-River Falls, but the Falcons responded with a pair of their own in the top of the second to knot the score at 2-2. River Falls added five in the top of the third and another in the fourth to take an 8-2 lead, but the Prairie Fire scored two in the bottom of the fourth to remain in striking distance. The Falcons put up five more runs in the top of the fifth and held on for a 13-5 victory.

St. Olaf took an early 12-0 lead thanks to an eight run second inning, but Knox scored five in the fifth to keep the game alive. The Oles added a run in the bottom of the sixth to put the game away.

Casey Hipp finished the day 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBI to lead the Prairie Fire. Mady Ferris also picked up three hits in six at bats. Clare Hensley, Kenzie Funk, and Britney Salinas each added a pair of hits.

Knox returns to action on March 14 when they travel to Florida for the Gene Cusic Classic.
