GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's tennis team defeated Illinois Valley Community College 8-1 on Wednesday afternoon in their final regular season match of the year.

Ajay Gustafson won 6-1, 6-3 at #1 singles. He also teamed up with Jared Schwarz to win 8-1 at #1 doubles.

Brad Newland earned a narrow 4-6, 6-4, 11-9 victory at #2 singles.

Schwarz won 6-2, 6-2 at #3 singles and Dobbin Pine won 7-6, 6-0 at #4 singles.

"This was a great end to the regular season," said head coach Meredith Witherell.

Knox will travel to Madison, Wisconsin on April 27 and 28 to participate in the Midwest Conference Championships.
