Men's Tennis Competes at MWC Individual Tournament

MADISON, Wisconsin—The men's tennis team competed at the Midwest Conference Individual Tournament on Saturday.
 
Ajay Gustafson fell to Johnny Zanotti from St. Norbert 0-5, retired at #1 singles.
 
Brad Newland lost to Junmo Kwon of Ripon in the first round of #2 singles and then fell to Aidan Burke of Lake Forest in the consolation bracket 7-8, 4-7.
 
Jared Schwarz defeated Preston Wurtz of Ripon in the first round of #3 singles 6-4, 6-4. He then fell to Sam Stickels of Grinnell in the quarter final 2-6, 0-6.
 
Dobbin Pine won his #4 singles match against Adrian Granados of Ripon 6-3, 6-2, but fell to Ben Cobin of Grinnell 0-6, 0-6 in the quarter final.
 
Kyle Yang dropped his #5 singles match 1-6, 0-6 to Brendan Guenther of Monmouth and then lost in the consolation bracket 1-8 to Nick Adamou of Cornell.
 
Misha Broyles won his opening round match by default over Nicholas Robertson of Monmouth. He then fell to Jack Lunn of Grinnell 0-6, 0-6 in the quarter final.
 
Knox returns to action on April 28 in the doubles portion of the MWC Tournament.
