GALESBURG, Illinois—The Prairie Fire men's tennis team fell to Lawrence 0-9 and Ripon 1-8 on Saturday.

Ajay Gustafson played a close match against Lawrence at #1 singles, falling 4-6, 2-6.

Brad Newland and Dobbin Pine also played a close #2 doubles match versus Lawrence, coming up just short at 5-8. Kyle Yang and Misha Broyles (#3 doubles) fell 4-8.

Gustafson and Jared Schwarz won their #1 doubles match 8-7 against their counterparts from Ripon.

Newland/Pine (4-8) and Yang/Broyles (3-8) also played close at #2 and #3 doubles, respectively.

Newland came up just short at #2 singles, falling 6-1, 5-7, 3-6. Gustafson (5-7, 3-6), Schwarz (5-7, 1-6), and Pine (3-6, 5-7) also played very close in their singles matches.

Knox will host St. Norbert on April 7 for MDA Awareness Day to continue their conference season.
