1. What do you love most about your job?

Hands down, it's the coaches and staff that I work with here at the College. It truly is the people that make Knox so special! I also love that I get to be in routine contact with so many alumni who have a tie to Knox athletics. Hearing their stories about their time here as well as their various passions within the College to see it develop are so fascinating and I'm always curious to hear and to learn more!

2. Why did you choose Knox?

Through both online research and mutual connections that I made during internships in graduate school I knew that Knox was a one of a kind liberal arts institution that provided exceptional experiences to its student-athletes. I also knew that if I was fortunate enough to be offered a position at the College that I would be working under three great mentors in Daniella Irle (Director of Athletics), Beverly Holmes (Vice President for Advancement), and Sarah Byrd (Executive Director of Alumni Engagement), which after only half a year in, I can say is very true, they are all terrific!

3. If you could coach/work anywhere in the world where would it be?

Somewhere near the mountains, whether that is in the United States or outside of it; I absolutely love skiing/snowboarding in the winter time, and hiking as well as mountain biking in the summer and fall.

4. What advice would you give your younger self knowing where you are today?

Believe in yourself and buy in to you - You've got everything to gain and nothing to lose. If you fall short of the mark, you will learn from it, improve, and become better. When you succeed you will reap the rewards of your time, effort, and dedication. You'll never know the limit of how much you can achieve until you take a leap of faith in yourself, and you are the only one who can do that.

5. What do you enjoy doing on your off days?

On my off days you can bet that I'll be active, whether that be traveling somewhere to do something (like hike or ski), or just going for a bike ride outside, I'm always moving and doing something. Once the pandemic subsides I do hope to join a few adult sport leagues in the area to try and retain what athletic abilities I do have.

6. Favorite Song

Tough question… it really depends on what I'm doing, but probably, "Hometown" by Kane Brown or "People Back Home" by Florida Georgia Line.

7. Favorite Movie

Invincible starring Mark Wahlberg.
