GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire men's soccer team defeated Illinois College 3-0 at home on Saturday.
Ashton Zeringue got the scoring started in the 18th minute with an assist from Calvin Baker.
Neither team got much going for the remainder of the first half, but Knox struck again with a pair of late goals.
Raphael Adeyemi struck a goal at the 75:53 mark and Joey Dorgan added a penalty kick goal with just over four minutes to play.
Knox outshot the Blueboys 16-3 and 11-1 in shots on goal.
"We were a bit more crisp today," said head Coach Brian O'Connor. "We have worked on some things and it's nice to be out on Prats again. I am very happy with where we're at right now."
The Prairie Fire return to action on April 3 as they host Lake Forest.
