Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 GALESBURG, Illinois - The Prairie Fire softball team dropped a pair of conference games to Cornell on Saturday to conclude their season.

Knox celebrated their five seniors between games. Clare Hensley, Mady Ferris, Kenzie Funk, and Cammie Stein all played their final game for the Prairie Fire. Casey Hipp will be coming back for one more year, but participated in senior day festivities with her class.

Knox only gave up a solo home-run to the Rams in game one, but Londyn Nelson took the tough loss in the circle as the Prairie Fire lost 1-0.

Cornell scored a run in the second inning of game two to take an early lead. The Rams added three in the third and added at least one run every inning from then on to earn an 8-0 victory in six innings.

Haylee Carpenter led Knox with three hits in the doubleheader. Britney Salinas and Lacey Miller each added two hits on the day.

"I am really proud of the four years these seniors have put in, they will truly be missed. They have left their legacy on KCSB," said head coach Erin Rutledge. "It is too bad we could not score in game one, Londyn pitched a great game to end the season."
