2022 Fall Highlights for the Prairie FireĀ 

Football
  • Knox football finishes their season at 5-5 to tie their best record since going 6-4 in 2002.
  • They also won four conference games, the most since going 5-4 in 2002.
  • Coach Willits has won seven conference games in two seasons at the helm, matching the seven league wins in the previous six seasons.
  • The Prairie Fire football team defeated Cornell 31-27 for their first victory over the Rams since a 30-27 win in 1988.Ā 
  • Charlie Gibbons earned 1st Team All-Midwest Conference.
  • Ean Rau and Kendall Ballman earned 2nd TeamĀ All-Midwest Conference.

Men's Soccer
  • Men's soccer made their 9th consecutive appearance at the MWC Tournament. The Prairie Fire have been to each MWC Tournament since 2013, hosting the tournament in 2014, 2017, 2019, and 2021. Knox won the tournament in 2018 and 2021.Ā 
  • Lucas Piqueras and Alex White both earned first team honors for the Prairie Fire.

Women's Soccer
  • Carina Escobar racked up 94 saves and four shutouts in goal for the Prairie Fire.

Cross Country
  • Lance Miller Yates finished 18th at the MWC Championships on October 29 to garner All-MWC honors.

Volleyball
  • Catessa Duran picked up 2nd Team All-MWC honors. Duran finished the season second in the league in kills per set (3.33). She led Knox with 260 kills and finished with 868 for her career, the sixth best total in school history. Duran also racked up 37 blocks and 21 service aces this season.

  • Katie Anderson finished her career with 1,617 assists, good for fifth all-time at Knox.

  • Katie Anderson racked up 53 assists in the match to break the Knox record for assists in a match in a loss to Eureka on September 10.
